The recipe of Barley Spike Beer was developed in the latest 70's. Based on ancient Russian brewing recipes Drink was loved by all fans of beer in the USSR. However, within the Soviet Union Barley Spike beer fell into oblivion. Only 15 years later, especially for the opening of brewing production in Krasnodar, “Ochakovo” decided to revive the brand. Improved the classic recipe, Ochakovskyi brewers created a light, sunny beer with an unforgettable fresh flavor. "Barley Spike” returned old and found new fans and became a hallmark of the Ochakovo plant in Krasnodar.
Soon the popularity of the drink ceased to be limited to the borders of Krasnodarskiy kray as the mark grew on the federal level. So, in 2003, "Barley Spike" appeared in its "historical homeland" in Moscow. And since then, it is sold in all territories where the products of Ochakovo company are available.
Beer is also available in PET packaging, and in a glass bottle.
A characteristic design element of all of sorts of "Barley Spike" line is an imprint of wax seal with a stylized image of cooking vessels.
